Folding@home

The Center for Institutional Research Computing at WSU is actively supporting the Folding@home project for research on diseases including COVID-19. Folding@home uses donated computer cycles from thousands of teams to perform distributed simulation of protein assembly for research efforts focused on understanding how diseases work and how to design therapeutics to stop them.

The Office of Research has donated an entire node with 20 cores from the Kamiak high-performance computing cluster to contribute to this effort. Please see WSU Pullman CIRC Team Statistics, and Folding@home COVID-19 for information on the Folding@home effort relating to COVID-19.
